Replace Your Missing Teeth with High-quality Dentures and Partials
You often don’t appreciate what you have until you lose it. That’s true when you lose your teeth. Many people are surprised by the many ways tooth loss can affect their lives, from limited oral functionality and marred aesthetics to confidence loss.
Fortunately, dentures and partials in Santa Rosa, California, can restore what missing teeth have been robbed of you. Expertly designed and placed by Dr. Wayne Sutton, Santa Rosa Dentistry and Implant Center dentures restore your smile without feeling or appearing unnatural.
What are the different denture options?
Dentures come in several shapes and sizes to provide a solution for every smile. No matter how many teeth you have lost, everyone has a denture solution in our office. Rebuild and refresh your smile with the following denture options.
- Full dentures: Have you lost a full upper or lower teeth set? Complete dentures are ideal for restoring your smile. They consist of a set of prosthetic teeth attached to a gum-colored base. These dentures are secured by suction or adhesives if needed.
- Partials: Not everyone needs a complete denture. If you have lost a few teeth, our dentist will recommend a partial. This custom-fitted appliance spans the gap left by missing teeth and uses the adjoining teeth as anchors. Partials are supported by detachable metalwork, allowing you to take out your restoration for easier maintenance.
What are implant-supported dentures?
Conventional dentures effectively replace failing and missing teeth, but they become unstable and uncomfortable as your gums shrink. Dr. Sutton has an innovative solution that combines implants’ stability and dentures’ aesthetics. Called implant-supported dentures, these restorations are anchored in the jawbone with 4-6 titanium or zirconia implants. Unlike traditional dentures, don’t expect implant dentures to move or slip when talking, eating, or sneezing. They are as stable as natural teeth!
How do I maintain my dentures?
Fixed dentures are cared for just like natural teeth, requiring you to brush twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste. Removable dentures, however, need a bit more attention. Always rinse them with clean water to remove food particles, saliva, and bacteria. Take them out before sleeping and soak them overnight in a denture solution. Be sure to brush and floss your natural teeth before wearing back your dentures.
Regardless of the type, all dentures require bi-annual dental check-ups and cleanings. These appointments allow your dentist to assess the fit of your dentures and make any necessary adjustments to ensure they remain stable and comfortable.
