Santa Rosa Dentistry and Implant Center is your premier Invisalign provider in Santa Rosa. As one of the leaders in cosmetic dentistry and aesthetics, Dr. Sutton incorporates Invisalign (clear aligners) into many of our smile makeover and rehabilitation cases.
Whether you’re 25, 45, 60, or beyond, having a straighter smile can significantly boost your oral health and self-esteem. People with straighter teeth are less likely to experience symptoms of:
- TMJ disorder
- Tooth decay
- Gum disease
- Chipped, worn teeth
- Fractures and dental emergencies
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign, along with ClearCorrect, use translucent, removable trays to gently straighten teeth by nudging them into the desired location. Each set of aligners places mild pressure at key points across your smile. Instead of adjusting wires and brackets every six weeks, you change your clear aligner trays out every two. The systematic straightening process is extremely accurate and convenient.
Thanks to 3D imaging technology, Invisalign can pre-program the desired position and alignment of your teeth. The treatment software then maps out where each tooth needs to go and creates a corresponding alignment tray using CAD/CAM 3D modeling. The aligners are delivered to our dentist in Santa Rosa in advance so that you can change them out at home as prescribed.
Benefits of Invisalign Over Braces
Compared to mainstream metal braces, clear aligners offer several perks like:
- Fewer appointments
- Easier home care
- No dietary restrictions
- “Invisible” braces
- Designed with adults in mind
- Effective on mild to severe cases of misalignment
- No irritating metal appliances
Clear aligners are practically invisible when you’re talking and smiling. Enjoy straight teeth without anyone realizing you’re in “braces” at all.
The average Invisalign case takes about 12 months or so to complete. Some cases can be treated in as quickly as six months while others may take over a year and a half. Wearing your aligners as prescribed will ensure a timely and successful outcome.
Dr. Sutton will need to physically evaluate your tooth alignment (occlusion) and surrounding anatomy to make sure you’re a candidate for treatment. You should not wear clear aligners if you have gum disease or active tooth decay.
Invisalign was designed for adults, but teens make great candidates too. You’re never too old to straighten your teeth. We have Santa Rosa Invisalign patients that are 70+.
