My name is Jennifer Tarantino. So about a year and a half ago, I came in to visit Dr. Sutton and he told me that I need to have all my teeth removed, a condition that I had. So in September, I had all of my teeth removed and then I had some implants put in, and just recently I had almost permanent—these are my actually almost permanent teeth—put in and they’re great because I’ve been able to chew things that I haven’t been able to do for a really long time. The other day, I actually called my husband because I was able to bite into an apple for the very first time, so it was awesome. Before I had—my son is almost 10—and before I had him, even when I was pregnant, my gums bled a lot. Most of my teeth as Dr. Sutton knows were loose so I couldn’t really chew a lot of really anything, and like I said, I came in to Dr. Sutton about a year and a half ago, and that’s when he told me I need to have them all removed.
I think a lot of people when they don’t have problems with their teeth, they don’t understand how it affects your life and everything in your life that you do, and it’s been amazing and life changing for me, this whole process, and I’m very grateful.

About Dr. Wayne Sutton

Although it’s hard to imagine, extensive tooth loss can happen in one arch or both. Because of factors like gum disease, injury, or decay, it’s not rare to see patients missing multiple or all teeth.
Conventional dentures are usually the go-to standard treatment for extensive tooth loss, but they aren’t the best. Our office offers full-mouth dental implants (all-on-X) to replace lost teeth in one arch or both.
When you have multiple missing teeth, you can have an implant for every tooth lost, but this can be expensive and extensive. Our full-mouth implants use only four to six implants to replace teeth in an entire jaw! The implants are strategically placed in the mouth to support a denture or bridge to replace multiple missing teeth.
All-on-X implants are placed under the gums and in the jawbone to support a set of artificial teeth. After a careful examination, the dentist surgically places four implants in the jawbone, usually two in the back and two in front.
Then, the dentist will attach abutments (connectors) to the implants before placing a semi-permanent restoration on the implants. Over the next four to six months, the implants will be left to heal and fuse with the jawbone.
After healing and fusion, you’ll return to our office, where we’ll replace the temporary restoration with a permanent, natural-looking denture or bridge.
Not at all! The dentist starts by administering local anesthesia to your gums to minimize discomfort. While anesthesia is just enough for many patients, those with dental fear can benefit from sedation dental care for added comfort.
Like any surgery, expect some discomfort after the implant surgery. However, we’ll give you medications and home remedies to manage your discomfort.
