Same-day teeth with the best dental implant center in Sonoma County

Full mouth rejuvenation with dental implants requires careful planning and a skilled implant dentist. Hundreds of patients turn to Dr. Sutton each year for his expertise and knowledge of same-day teeth and full-mouth dental implants in Santa Rosa.

What Is “Full Mouth” Dental Implant Treatment?

In lieu of placing an individual implant and crown at the location of each tooth, we can utilize the strength of implants to work in pairs. For instance, as few as four implants total can anchor a full-arch restoration across your upper or lower jaw. The personalized implant restoration is both aesthetic and durable. You’ll be able to comfortably speak and eat around your friends, knowing that your smile looks its best.

Unlike conventional dentures, a full mouth implant restoration follows the natural curvature of your bite. There’s no bulky “plate” covering the roof of your mouth or interfering with your speech. Foods taste better. Your speech is easier to articulate. It’s like having a natural smile all over again.

How Full Mouth Dental Implants Transformed One Santa Rosa Patient's Smile and Life

Patient review about Full Mouth Implants in Sonoma County

My name is Jennifer Tarantino. So about a year and a half ago, I came in to visit Dr. Sutton and he told me that I need to have all my teeth removed, a condition that I had. So in September, I had all of my teeth removed and then I had some implants put in, and just recently I had almost permanent—these are my actually almost permanent teeth—put in and they’re great because I’ve been able to chew things that I haven’t been able to do for a really long time. The other day, I actually called my husband because I was able to bite into an apple for the very first time, so it was awesome. It sounds silly, but I haven’t been able to do that in a really long time, so it was pretty cool.

Before I had—my son is almost 10—and before I had him, even when I was pregnant, my gums bled a lot. And then I also lost some teeth while I was pregnant and some people just said it happens, you know, your body goes through things when you’re pregnant and it would just happen. And then after I had him, I actually lost a couple more teeth and my teeth, many of them are loose. And so I wasn’t even able to eat a lot of things before even with my regular—with my other teeth. And then slowly they just got worse, my gums got worse. Every time I brushed my teeth, my gums would bleed. Most of my teeth as Dr. Sutton knows were loose so I couldn’t really chew a lot of really anything, and like I said, I came in to Dr. Sutton about a year and a half ago, and that’s when he told me I need to have them all removed.

I think a lot of people when they don’t have problems with their teeth, they don’t understand how it affects your life and everything in your life that you do, and it’s been amazing and life changing for me, this whole process, and I’m very grateful.

And I feel healthier. I do. I feel healthier. I would recommend Dr. Wayne Sutton and his whole staff. They’ve been, it’s been life-changing for me. I’ve been just not confident in my smile for a very long time and I can actually smile, even on Facebook or when I take pictures everybody noticed that I’m smiling now and I haven’t done that in a really long time. So I’m very grateful. I’m very appreciative.

When Jennifer came in with loose teeth and multiple missing teeth, Dr. Sutton recommended full mouth dental implants. Listen as she shares her moving story about the incredible impact full mouth implants have had on her life.

Choosing An Experienced Santa Rosa Implant Dentist

Working with a highly skilled and experienced implant dentist broadens your implant options and enhances the final outcome. So many dentists today refer their patients to off-site specialists and only provide the restorative phase of treatment. When that happens, you spend more time (and money) completing the smile rejuvenation process.

Advantages Of Full Mouth Implants

Whenever we lose teeth, the bone in our jaws naturally resorbs (shrinks.) In time, it can lead to sunken-in facial features and premature aging. But dental implants reinforce our oral anatomy by facilitating healthy bone integration. Using 4-6 implants for a full-arch restoration comes with advantages like:

  • No removable appliances
  • Naturally, support your facial features
  • Prevent premature bone loss, facial sagging
  • More durable than dentures
  • No changes to your speech or diet
  • Easy home care

Santa Rosa Dentistry and Implant Center perform each stage of the implant experience in-house. There are no additional referrals or costs involved.

In addition to the numerous memberships and fellowships that Dr. Sutton holds, he is also a Diplomat of the American Dental Implant Association. His extensive post-doctoral training, experience, and access to cutting-edge technology allow us to provide everything from single tooth implants to dramatic full mouth rehabilitation.

Full Mouth Implants FAQ’s

Has your dentist recommended full-mouth dental implants? We understand you may have several questions about this procedure. We have prepared a FAQ section to help you learn more about this life-changing procedure.

Although it’s hard to imagine, extensive tooth loss can happen in one arch or both. Because of factors like gum disease, injury, or decay, it’s not rare to see patients missing multiple or all teeth.

Conventional dentures are usually the go-to standard treatment for extensive tooth loss, but they aren’t the best. Our office offers full-mouth dental implants (all-on-X) to replace lost teeth in one arch or both.

When you have multiple missing teeth, you can have an implant for every tooth lost, but this can be expensive and extensive. Our full-mouth implants use only four to six implants to replace teeth in an entire jaw! The implants are strategically placed in the mouth to support a denture or bridge to replace multiple missing teeth.

All-on-X implants are placed under the gums and in the jawbone to support a set of artificial teeth. After a careful examination, the dentist surgically places four implants in the jawbone, usually two in the back and two in front.

Then, the dentist will attach abutments (connectors) to the implants before placing a semi-permanent restoration on the implants. Over the next four to six months, the implants will be left to heal and fuse with the jawbone.

After healing and fusion, you’ll return to our office, where we’ll replace the temporary restoration with a permanent, natural-looking denture or bridge.

Not at all! The dentist starts by administering local anesthesia to your gums to minimize discomfort. While anesthesia is just enough for many patients, those with dental fear can benefit from sedation dental care for added comfort.

Like any surgery, expect some discomfort after the implant surgery. However, we’ll give you medications and home remedies to manage your discomfort.

Conventional dentures have their place in dentistry, but now patients want more stable and natural-looking teeth replacements. Full-mouth dental implants offer several benefits over traditional restorations. Some include:

  • Stability when using teeth
  • Dental implants prevent bone loss in the area placed
  • Long-lasting restorations
  • Restored oral function to nearly 100%
  • Cost-effective in the long-run

Acrylic dentures used to restore implants can last 10-15 years before they are due for replacement. Our office offers full-arch Prettau® Bridges designed to last for life! These restorations are created from zirconia, which is ten times stronger than acrylic dentures.

The typical cost for full mouth implants is around $40,000, though it can escalate to $60,000 or more based on factors such as the type of restoration, additional procedures like grafting and extraction, and the choice of implants.

Luckily, several dental insurance companies provide coverage for certain implant expenses. However, we also offer dental financing alternatives to assist in handling the overall cost of treatment.

All-on-X implants may cost more than conventional teeth replacements, but they are worth the price and time. Full mouth implants restore the entire dentition, providing a functional and aesthetic replacement for all missing or compromised teeth. These restorations are a lifetime investment in a beautiful smile and improved oral health.
